I have searched on Google for the keywords ” Free Ringtones”. I have targeted 3 website that appeared to be in the top ten list for “Free Ringtones” and all 3 sites have Google Adsense in it. This will ensure that the ads thatI place in their site will have good organic and targeted traffic looking for ringtones.

I have used the placement-targeted ads on Google which means my ads for my affiliate product will only appear on these 3
websites that I have selected. For example, if you look at the website that appear in first position for keywords “Free Ringtones” : www.coolfreeringtones.com , the Google ad is placed in the center of the page. In the ads unit, there could be 2-4 text ads which can be shown in this square adsense unit. It means that you could have 1-3 other competitors. Thus it will reduce the chances of my ad to be appearing, by using placement targeted option my ad will be the only one that appear in the square adsense unit. This will increase my CTR and reduce the cost of my ad as I choose CPM.

Inorder to increase my CTR further, I have design an image ad that is using the colour of the website I advertise in so that my image ad will be able to blend into the website.

After doing all these homework, I put my ads into test and after 24 hours (7 Mar). I have spend $12.25 SGD for 53 click and I create my adwords account using a $50USD free credit given to me which equivalent to $75 SGD. Therefore it is a free advertising to me .

How much I earned in the end? I have received 3 leads which means that I have earned $37.50 in one day time. It is not really impressive but it proved that without owning a website and without spend any money,
you can earn your first pay check in just a week time!
